Berkeley has some really cute food spots but they also have a delightful coffee scene as well.  Just off the typical path of downtown Berkwley, South Berkeley has a hidden gem called Alchemy Collective...with Verve! 

I've been here a few times and always see locals coming here to meet with a friend, get work done, or simply come to enjoy the well-balanced coffee and espresso that this place has to offer.

Obviously I'm a huge fan of Verve coffee so when I initially walked in and saw the sign, I was hooked! 

The almond milk lattes are creamy and have the perfect balance of espresso and aight fruit notes.  There was some slight bitterness when I order my almond milk lattes so I do add sugar (they have sugar cubes! :) ) but I love Verve so at least the flavor of the espresso overpowers the slightl bitterness of the almond milk.

Last time I came here, I ordered their granola and wow.  It was beautifully presented and tasted like heaven. I'm a HUGE fan of granola and their granola was nutty, not too sweet, and really hearty.  I usually don't put pears in my granola but I liked it in their granola.  The touch of honey with the yogurt really made the flavors pop as well.
