Cafe la Tartine is a quaint bakery and coffee shop in the heart of Redwood City's downtown.  I can't comment on the bakery items but I can definitely comment on the coffee.  I had an almond milk latte, and though the presentation was cute, the taste of the latte was not only bitter but the quality of the espresso was not very good as well.

I ended up having to put quite a bit of sugar into it to add flavor.  not sure if this was a French toast (since it was a bakery as well) but I would have rather gone to Bliss two blocks away.  The price was great, though, but I don't mind paying more for a latte if it's high quality.

I'm guessing the idea is to come here for pastries, not for a latte/coffee.  Maybe that explains the lower ratings in Yelp as well...
