Despite the fact that my entire family is now in California and I probably won't be going back to visit Chicago (probably should mention I lived there for 19 years and moved here two years ago), I will miss Ipsento. I was excited to have had it again back in June. It had been well over two years but the taste was just as delectable.
They have great coffee and espresso beans; I went to a coffee brewing class a few years ago and it was fun to see some different ways of brewing great/strong coffee :) We each got a free drink, got to try coffee brewed in several ways and were able to purchase coffee beans at a slightly discounted price. Coming back to visit Ipsento was super fun this summer because the place is still just as cozy and has a cool hipster vibe. I ordered the nutella almond milk latte and wow! It is still the best nutella almond milk latte I have ever had (sorry Bliss Coffee!) I also love how they have a few more specialty drinks that have interesting kicks to them: the Ipsento, Cardamom Rose, Nutella, and Mocha. The Ipsento is a latte with coconut milk and cayenne pepper and while that sounds interesting, I'm so hooked to their Nutella latte that I refuse to try something new lol.
I highly recommend purchasing beans from them as well. They know their stuff and can guide you on which type of beans to buy based on how you brew your coffee.
